Augustus set for WP debut

Junior Boks star Juarno Augustus has been named in Western Province's match 23 for Sunday's Provincial Challenge Cup quarter-final against the Cheetahs.

The 19-year-old was named Player of the Tournament at the recent World Rugby U20 Championship and been tipped to make his senior debut for WP or the Stormers upon his return from the event.

On Friday, WP coach John Dobson confirmed the No 8 as one of the substitutes for the clash at the Green Point Track.

Maties captain and fullback Craig Barry will play in the back three with wings Bjorn Basson and Marcello Sampson, Blitzbok Ruhan Nel will team up with Michal Hazner as the centre pairing, and Kurt Coleman is at flyhalf and is partnered by Godlen Masimla at scrumhalf.

Johan du Toit, brother of Pieter-Steph, will compete in the back row alongside Jaco Coetzee and Eital Bredenkamp; while the tight five consist of Eduard Zandberg, Jurie van Vuuren, Michael Kimbirai, Dean Muir and Caylib Oosthuizen.
