2014 Super Rugby draw confirmed

The Lions and the Cheetahs will compete in the opener of the 2014 Super Rugby competition.
The Johannesburg franchise won the promotion-relegation battle with the Kings, and have thus guaranteed their participation in the 2014 competition. On Monday, the draw was announced, and the Lions will be one of the first teams on display in this the next installment of the tournament.
Meanwhile, in the other South African derby of the round, the Sharks will host the Bulls at Kings Park on 15 February.
The Stormers will have a bye in the first round. They will face the Lions in Johannesburg in round two.
The play-offs will commence on 18 July, and culminate with the crowning of the 2014 champions on 2 August.
