Gio Aplon will leave the Stormers at the end of the current season and link up with French club Grenoble.

The move have been on the cards for some time, although the Stormers confirmed it on Monday. Aplon will leave for France after the Vodacom Super Rugby tournament.

The veteran Springbok and Stormers utility back will be hard to replace. The Stormers have recruited Baby Boks speedster Dillyn Leyds and Springbok Sevens player Seabelo Senatla, but neither of them boast Super Rugby experience.
