Boks take on Clifton lifeguards
- 08 Jan 2014
A number of Springboks will take on the Clifton Beach lifeguards on Sunday, 19 January, in a variety of events.
The Boks will challenge the lifeguards at touch rugby, flag contests and tug of war on Clifton Fourth Beach.
‘Most Capetonians will remember the great tradition behind this challenge,’ said Stormers coach Allister Coetzee. ‘It’s a wonderful opportunity to renew this tradition and create some friendly rivalry between the two teams.’
Attendees can also play touch rugby, watch musical performances and participate in other activities on the day.
Brutal Boks bashed England
England, despite a three-point scoreline, were never in this Test. Kudos the bruising Boks, writes MARK KEOHANE at Twickenham.
Schalk’s stocks soar
Schalk Burger showed why the Boks need a bruiser at No 7 and why he will be an asset to this side in 2015, writes JON CARDINELLI at Twickenham.
Burger made massive contribution
Schalk Burger’s colossal performance against England was as much a lesson to South African supporters as it was the completion of an incredible rugby comeback, writes MARK KEOHANE in Business Day.
