Bulls lose Van Zyl
- 21 Apr 2014
Piet van Zyl will miss the Vodacom Bulls' last tour match against the Force in Perth on Saturday because of a knee injury.
The scrumhalf was injured during the Bulls' 19-12 loss to the Waratahs in Sydney.
In some good news for the Pretoria-based franchise, Akona Ndungane (knee) and Jürgen Visser (foot) have been declared fit. Ndungane's availability will result in Francois Hougaard moving back to scrumhalf.
Meanwhile, Flip van der Merwe has been cited for an alleged punch on the Waratahs' Paddy Ryan. Upon further review of the match footage, the citing commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the red-card threshold for foul play.

Stop making excuses
Stop excusing Allister Coetzee’s obvious limitations on his late appointment as Bok coach. Stop excusing every Springbok defeat on referees, weather conditions or the age-old South African retreat that the rugby gods have an issue with the Springboks, writes MARK KEOHANE.
Wake-up call for SA Rugby
Until there are some fundamental changes to the structures and systems in South African rugby, the state of the game will continue to plummet to new lows, writes CRAIG LEWIS.
Why is Bok sponsor so silent?
Brett Levy, Blue Label Telecoms’ joint CEO, must curse the day he described the experience of joining with Springbok rugby as one of reinvention and renewal, writes MARK KEOHANE.
