Etzebeth suffers injury setback

Eben Etzebeth will play no part in the Stormers' Super Rugby run-in after suffering a broken toe in the shower.

The news will come as a blow not only to the Cape-based franchise but also to the Springboks, who would've been hoping for him to get some game time ahead of the Rugby Championship. He will now be ruled out for a further two to three weeks.

Stormers coach Allister Coetzee will welcome back a number of players for the match against the Bulls at Newlands this Saturday, though, with Deon Fourie (concussion), hooker Tiaan Liebenberg (neck), scrumhalf Louis Schreuder (broken thumb), centre Juan de Jongh (pneumonia), wing Kobus van Wyk (wrist) and fullback Gio Aplon (elbow) all being available for selection.

Meanwhile Springbok captain Jean de Villiers and fellow centre Damian de Allende are still a number of weeks away from a return and won't feature in either of the Stormers' final two matches.
