Kings ring changes for Stormers

Steven Sykes will captain an injury-hit Kings team against the Stormers in PE on Friday night.

Sykes takes over the role from Darron Nell, who has an elbow injury, with Stephan Zaayman coming in at blindside flank.

Caretaker Kings coach Robbie Kempson has made several other changes to the team that lost 19-12 to the Lions.

Brendon Olivier will start at loosehead prop as BG Uys is getting married this weekend, while Albé de Swardt gets the No 2 jersey having recovered from his rib injury and replaces Dane van der Westhuysen, who dislocated his elbow.

Backline coach Carlos Spencer has opted to rotate his troops, with Sonwabo Majola starting at scrumhalf ahead of Jaco Grobler, Eben Barnard replacing Michael Killian on the left wing and Dwayne Jenner coming in for Ronnie Cooke at outside centre. Sergeal Petersen, who took a slight knock to the knee during the Lions game, is fit and stays on the right wing, with Shakes Soyizwapi once again at fullback.
