Paul Jordaan starred as La Rochelle thumped Oyonnax 57-12, while there were also wins for Clermont, Pau, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lyon and Toulon in the French Top 14.

Hosts La Rochelle were in control from start to finish and led 29-7 courtesy of four first-half tries. The same pattern continued in the second half, with the hosts doubling their try tally and the visitors only adding one touchdown.

Jordaan, playing outside centre, was full of running throughout the game and his effort was rewarded when he crashed over for the first try after the break.

The result takes La Rochelle up to second in the standings.
