Le Roux rested for pre-season games
- 20 Jan 2014
Springbok fullback Willie le Roux will play no part in the Cheetahs’ two warm-up games in PE.
Le Roux will be rested as a precaution after picking up a knock on his shoulder in the trial game against the Shimlas in Bloemfontein last Friday.
Hennie Daniller returns to the squad following his wrist injury and will replace Le Roux at fullback for the matches against NMMU (Tuesday) and the EP Kings (Saturday).
Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské also said scrumhalf Shaun Venter and Springbok flyhalf Johan Goosen will play in the encounter with the Kings.
