79 min: NYAKANE TRY. The Boks throw everything into finding their eighth try and Louw is in the action again. He drives for the line but the ball is dislodged. Trevor Nyakane picks up and breaks over the line. The TMO tells the referee that the try is good as the ball went backwards. Boks 54 Samoa 23

75 min: LOUW TRY. The Boks take a short lineout and drive for the line. Louw has the ball in his hands as he breaks through and stretches for the line. Boks 47 Samoa 23
74 min: Samoa penalised for not releasing the player and Lambie puts the ball into touch.
72 min: Juandre Kruger on for Flip van der Merwe, Jan Serfontein on for De Villiers.
71 min: WILLIAMS CONVERSION. Boks 42 Samoa 23
70 min: POLULEULIGAGA TRY. The Samoans work a lineout well, splitting it and opening the way for Junior Poluleuligaga to break through the middle. Boks 42 Samoa 21
69 min: Boks penalised for early engagement and the Samoans attack, testing the Bok defence through 12 phases. Habana slaps down a pass and gets a YELLOW CARD.
66 min: Piet van Zyl on for Ruan Pienaar; Trevor Nyakane on for Jannie du Plessis.
64 min: Steyn misses the conversion (5/9). That's it for the day. Lambie comes on.
63 min: STEYN TRY. The Somoans lose the ball in the tackle and Etzebeth snaps it up, the ball going wide. Le Roux takes it on and with a skip pass finds Steyn looping round to take it. He has men outside but he steps in and scores. Boks 42 Samoa 16
61 min: The Boks come back at Samoa and it is back to Habana. His chip ahead is just too far.
59 min: The Boks go in hard at the restart, and Samoa is penalised for more foul play, a frustrated player kicking out. Steyn again goes for the lineout.
58 min: HABANA TRY. The Boks opt for a lineout and from the driving maul, Habana is set free on the blind side for his 50th try for South Africa. Steyn misses the conversion (5/8). Boks 37 Samoa 16
57 min: Steyn clears and the Boks attack from the lineout. Alesana Tuilagi is penalised for a high tackle on Jean de Villiers (without the ball, as well). De Villiers makes light of it but Tuilagi given RED CARD.
55 min: Early engage and the moment has gone. The Samoans charge upfield with great break by Paul Williams. The Boks are under pressure and defending hard ... now they are rewarded when Samoa are pinged for holding on.
52 min. Lineout clears, Steyn puts the ball high and Boks win a scrum from the ruck. Attacking scrum 22m out.
51 min: The TMO cites Samoa fullback James So'oialo for grabbing Strauss 'in an indecent manner'. Penalty to the Boks and Steyn clears to a lineout.
50 min: The Samoans have come out with new fire and have the Boks rattled. Kolisi is off having a concussion test; the Boks are under pressure and Adriaan Strauss is infuriated by dark arts in the rucks.
48 min: CONVERSION SO'OIALO. Boks 32 Samoa 16
47 min: TRY PAULO. The Samoans drive up with a lot of pick-and-goes, Siya Kolisi being shunted out and Teofilo Paulo powering over. Boks 32 Samoa 14
42 min: Immediately he is penalised for not releasing the player and Samoa go for the lineout.
41 min: Siya Kolisi is on for Pierre Spies, who is on the bench with ice on his elbow.

38 min: TRY BASSON. Great turnover ball from Willem Alberts and it starts another attack. Willie le Roux draws two defenders to help Bjorn Basson to score in the corner. Boks 30 Samoa 9
32 min: TRY ENGELBRECHT. From the restart, the Boks turn the ball over and it goes down the line to JJ Engelbrecht. He breaks three tackles to score in the corner. Steyn misses the conversion (4/6). Boks 25 Samoa 9
30 min: PENALTY SO'OIALO (3/3). Trouble for the Boks as they are penalised for a high tackle. Boks 20 Samoa 9
27 min: PENALTY STEYN (4/5) Samoa get into an awful tangle from the restart and referee Pascal Gauzere loses patience. YELLOW CARD for Logovii Mulipoa. Boks 20 Samoa 6
26 min: CONVERSION STEYN (3/4). Boks 17, Samoa 6.
25 min: TRY LOUW. The Boks do what they do best, drive from the lineout. Boks 15 Samoa 6
24 min: The Boks put pressure on the Samoan line and after much running, they come back for a penalty 5m out from the Samoan line. Habana tries a tap and go but is called back. Lineout.
23 min: The forwards make the running from the lineout, first Strauss, then Mtawarira, before it is recycled down the line again. A knock-on saves Samoa and they clear.
22 min: Samoa restart and the Boks break free again. Johnny Loeta is down and out after a bad tackle on Eben Etzebeth as he tore down the line
18 min: CONVERSION STEYN (2/3). Boks 10 Samoa 6
17 min; TRY HABANA. From the lineout, the ball goes down the line and JJ Englebrecht holds it up to free Habana. Boks 8 Samoa 6
16 min: Samoa penalised for collapsing maul from the lineout; Boks go for another lineout.
15min: Steyn's restart hangs up and the Boks pile in, getting a penalty. Steyn kicks for touch to set up attack 10m out
13 min: PENALTY SO'OIALO (2/2) Boks 3 Samoa 6
12 min: From the restart, Samoa drive upfield. Pienaar makes a try-saving tackle as the visitors break out. It is a fast and frenzied start for both teams with the Bok defence being tested.
9 min: PENALTY SO'OIALO (1/1) Boks 3 Samoa 3. Eben Etzebeth penalised for not rolling away. So'oialo has a chance to level scores, and makes no mistake.
7 min: Penalty to South Africa from a scrum infringement as Samoa back-pedal. But Steyn pulls it (1/2).
3 min: From the restart, Samoa, but they are under pressure. Cleared to a lineout. South Africa get a scrum for a knock-on.
2 min: PENALTY STEYN (1/1). Boks 3 Samoa 0
1 min: Morne Steyn kicks off deep, but it is gathered safely and cleared by Tusiata Pise. South Africa lineout, which develops into a driving maul, until Samoa are penalised for a ruck infringement.
So here we are at Loftus, ready for the decider of the incoming series ... but first a minute's silence for ex-player and administrator Cyril Mjo.
