Frans Ludeke will replace Pine Pienaar as the Blue Bulls coach in the 2014 domestic competition.

The Bulls have confirmed Ludeke as the new head coach following the Pretoria side's poor run of form in recent seasons. Under Pienaar, the Bulls failed to qualify for the Currie Cup play-offs in 2011 and 2013, and were thumped 20-3 by the Sharks in the 2012 semi-final.

Pienaar will remain on the Bulls' management team as the defence coach.
