The Samurai Sevens remained undefeated on day one of the Premier League Sevens tournament in George.

The Samurai opened their day with a 38-0 drubbing of Eye of the Tiger, before moving on to beat the crowd favourites from 2012, Kaizer Chiefs, 45-10 in the second round.

Marius Schoeman's men then took on the Sharks in their final game of the day, thrashing the Durban side 45-7.

Kaizer Chiefs dismantled Masakane Old Boys 52-0 in the opening game, and beat Western Province 22-19 in a tightly fought match.
