Saracens wing Jack Wilson has signed with the Sharks ahead of the 2015 Super Rugby season.

The 25-year-old will join up with the Durban-based franchise with immediate effect, where he will follow his Saracens teammate Mouritz Botha, who signed with the Sharks earlier this month.

A former Kiwi sevens star, Wilson has played 19 times for Saracens, notching up six tries since joining the club at the end of 2012.

'Jack has made an excellent impression, but he would like to return to the southern hemisphere and seize this opportunity in South Africa,' said Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall.

'Our policy is always to align the interests of the club with the interests of the player, and we will not stand in his way.'

Wilson began his career as a loose forward, but made an impact on the wing for Bay of Plenty in the New Zealand Cup. Strongly built and blessed with blistering pace, New Zealand Sevens coach Gordon Tietjens quickly earmarked him as a potential sevens star.

However, his move to Saracens has seen limited success, where he has found himself behind England wingers Chris Ashton and David Strettle in the pecking order, and he will be hoping to make a fresh start on the east coast of South Africa.
