Stokkies Hanekom, who started at flyhalf against Western Province last weekend, moves back to outside centre, where he was going to start before Jaco van der Walt's injury prompted a reshuffle.
In other changes to the backline, Ruan Combrinck will start in his preferred position of fullback, Lionel Mapoe moves to the right wing and Alwyn Hollenbach is at inside centre.
Among the forwards, the Lions welcome back captain Warren Whiteley at eighthman, Jaco Kriel will start in the No 6 jersey and Armand van der Merwe comes in at hooker.
