Welsh club Dragons have parted ways with head coach Dai Flanagan, marking the second Vodacom URC coaching departure in less than a week.
Flanagan’s exit, announced late on Saturday as a mutual decision, comes as the Dragons sit 15th in the URC standings, with just one win from six games this season.
Assistant coach Filo Tiatia steps in as interim head coach, supported by the current coaching staff.

Flanagan, who joined Dragons from Scarlets in 2022, took the helm after Dean Ryan’s departure and aimed to lift the club’s performance. Yet Dragons have remained Wales’ least successful URC team.
“We thank Dai for his contribution and wish him well for the future,” the club stated.
Munster and the IRFU on Monday confirmed Graham Rowntree’s immediate departure, surprising fans just a season after his triumphant URC title win in his debut campaign at the helm.
The Irish province has struggled early this season, sitting in 12th place with only two wins in six outings.
