Badly behaved Force face sanction

An unidentified Force player urinated in a hallway of their team hotel in Bloemfontein after their loss to the Cheetahs last Saturday.

A few players, including team leaders Pek Cowan (prop) and Dane Haylett-Petty (fullback), misbehaved on the back of their 30-29 defeat against the Cheetahs. Cowan and Haylett-Petty were found guilty of breaching their leadership standards, prompting coach Dave Wessels to name left wing Luke Morahan as captain for their penultimate match against the Stormers in Perth on Saturday. 

The group involved went out after the match and broke the team curfew of 01:00. Upon their return, brothers Dane and Ross Haylett-Petty were involved in a heated exchange that turned physical and a vase was broken. Lock Adam Coleman and South African-born prop Francois van Wyk was also mixed up an in argument. And while the disputes raged on, a fifth player urinated in one of the hallway's at the Southern Sun hotel. 

According to the Daily Telegraph, regular Force captain Matt Hodgson, who sat out the tour of South Africa because of injury, accused the players of ruining the franchise's culture and that they were denigrating the team and lacking leadership qualities.

An ARU spokesperson confirmed an investigation into the matter in underway and that the players could face further sanction.
