Munster fought valiantly but late tries earned the All Blacks XV a thrilling victory in a friendly at Thomond Park on Saturday.
In a week marked by the sudden departure of head coach Graham Rowntree, Munster took the field under interim coach Ian Costello.
The All Blacks XV took an early lead with tries by AJ Lam and Chay Fihaki, but Munster’s resilience kept them close.

Skipper Peter O’Mahony forced key turnovers, leading to Mike Haley’s try and a penalty try that reduced the visitors’ half-time lead to 14-12.
John Hodnett’s powerful maul try kept Munster in contention at 21-17, while Tom Farrell’s breakaway set the score at a tight 26-24 heading into the final 20 minutes.
Despite Munster’s best efforts, late counter-attacks led to tries by Kini Naholo and Harry Plummer, sealing a 38-24 win for the visitors.
