The Blitzboks were outplayed by Fiji in their second match of the Dubai Sevens on Saturday.
Having edged France 15-12 earlier in the day, the Springbok Sevens relinquished an early lead against the Pacific Islanders to suffer a 28-10 defeat.
The Blitzboks’ final pool match is against Argentina at 6:34pm (SA time).

Ronald Brown opened the scoring for the Blitzboks with a try in the left-hand corner only for Fiji to respond immediately through Joseva Talacolo.
The Pacific Islanders then dominated possession for a lengthy period before Pilipo Bukayaro dotted down to make it 14-5 at the break.
Fiji struck again early in the second half when Jeremaia Matana burst away from inside his half which was followed by a fourth converted try, to Apete Narogo.
With the clock well into the red, Tristan Leyds scored a consolation five-pointer for the Blitzboks.
