Farrell worry for Lions

The British & Irish Lions are facing an injury scare ahead of next Saturday's opening Test against the All Blacks after Owen Farrell suffered a quadriceps strain.

The injury was sustained in training, has been described as a grade one strain, which has forced the flyhalf to withdraw from the squad to face the Maori All Blacks this Saturday, while it could leave him in a race against time to be fit for the first Test on 24 June.

Farrell was widely expected to wear the Lions' No 10 jersey in the Test series, with his place on the bench for Saturday's tour match now set to be taken by Wales' Dan Biggar.
