Montpellier have announced the Springbok centre Jan Serfontein has put pen to paper on a new contract.
The French club confirmed that Serfontein signed a new two-year deal until 2024.
The centre joined Montpellier from the Bulls in 2017 and has since played over 80 matches for the club.
Commenting on his new deal, Serfontein said: “I’m happy to continue my career with the club until 2024.
“I wanted to continue to be part of this team and it feels great playing here with this group [of players].”
Coach Philippe Saint-André said: “Jan is an important player in our system. He is one of the leaders in our team, and has already captained the team this season against Perpignan.
“I am delighted that he is continuing with us.”
