Jake White’s future will likely be a hot topic on the agenda when the Bulls board meet to review the 2024-25 season.
Claims surfaced this week that White could be axed after senior players and coaches gave the Bulls bosses an ultimatum: either he goes, or we go.
According to Rapport, skipper Ruan Nortje and fellow Springbok Marcell Coetzee led a player delegation that met with Bulls management to express dissatisfaction with director of rugby White’s leadership.

The group is said to have demanded urgent intervention, with some players reportedly threatening not to renew or even to terminate contracts if change isn’t forthcoming.
White’s public criticism of players has been cited as major a factor in the breakdown, alongside post-match comments in Dublin after the URC final where the former Springbok boss suggested the Bulls couldn’t compete with Leinster’s depth.
The Bulls board is set to meet on 4 July, and while Blue Bulls CEO Willem Strauss hasn’t outright confirmed that White’s future will be discussed, he has said a review of the season will be done.
“The board will be meeting at Loftus, the day before the Test match [against Italy] from where we’ll review the past season and plan the way forward for next season.”
Former Lions coach, Johan Ackermann, has been touted as White’s replacement at Loftus.
