Handré Pollard, who is struggling with an ankle injury, will be on the Blue Bulls' bench for Saturday's match against Griquas.

The Bok flyhalf has to play in at least one league match of the Currie Cup to be eligible for the knockout stage.

Pollard, who is not a contracted Bok and therefore available to his union, did not train on Monday or Tuesday but is expected to train on Thursday.

Jacques-Louis Potgieter will start at flyhalf for the Bulls, who need to win at Loftus to secure a place in the semi-finals.
