Johan Goosen slotted two conversions and a penalty to help the Cheetahs defeat the Pumas 31-6 in Bloemfontein.
The Cheetahs' tries were scored by loose forwards Jean Cook and Boom Prinsloo, who picked up his second following a powerful driving maul in the closing stages of the match. Earlier the Cheetahs were awarded a penalty try. Elgar Watts also kicked two conversions.
