Victor Sekekete leads a Cheetahs matchday 23 boasting a veteran Springbok and several seasoned campaigners against Perpignan in their EPCR Challenge Cup clash in Amsterdam on Sunday.
The Cheetahs kick off their third campaign in the second-tier EPCR tournament at NRCA Stadium in the Netherlands, their homebase for the European competition.
Sekekete, who skippered the Free Staters to title victory in the Currie Cup two seasons ago, is one of several players making their third tilt at the Challenge Cup. He will partner Carl Wegner in the second row this week.
The powerful Gideon van der Merwe and Friedle Olivier pack down in the back row alongside Jeandre Rudolph while, up front, hooker Louis van der Westhuizen slots in between the grizzled Schalk Ferreira and scrum anchor Aranos Coetzee.
Speedster Munier Hartzenberg wears the No 14 jersey, on the opposite end of the line to Prince Nkabinde. Ethan Wentzel and Ruben de Haas link up at halfback, and the seasoned Ali Mgijima partners CJ Coetzee in midfield.
Seven-Test Oupa Mohoje is set to make an impact off the bench along with Vernon Paulo, Hencus van Wyk, Rob Hunt, Pierre-Raymond Uys, Daniel Maartens, Rewan Kruger and George Lourens.
