Coetzee survives – for now

Allister Coetzee will continue to coach the Springboks, with his position to be reviewed after the three-Test home series against France in June.

A highly-placed source told Times Media rugby writer Craig Ray that Coetzee will be sacked if the Boks lose that series.

SA Rugby had wanted to hire Munster director of rugby Rassie Erasmus while it could still trigger his ‘get out’ clause‚ but sports minister Fikile Mbalula urged SA Rugby to retain Coetzee.
