Crusaders tired of coming close

Crusaders coach Scott Robertson says they are desperate to win their eighth Super Rugby title.

The Christchurch-based franchise last lifted the trophy in 2008, and have lost two finals since then, against the Reds (2011) and Waratahs (2014).

The Crusaders will have another opportunity to end their title drought against the Lions at Ellis Park on Saturday.

'My expectations are pretty high,' Robertson told Reuters. 'We had a lot of success when I was playing here [at the franchise].

'We are sick of being so close without winning it. We want to hold it up. We have got the group to do it, so Saturday night, here we come.'
