The Anglo-Welsh Cup could be revamped in order to include Currie Cup teams in the competition.
Premiership Rugby confirmed on Wednesday it is considering adding South Africa's Currie Cup sides to the Anglo-Welsh Cup after the 2019 season, which could help the competition's brand.
Mark McCafferty, Premiership Rugby CEO, says discussions with SA Rugby are at an early stage.
'There are four big things for us. Attendance growth, audience growth, the appeal of our brand, and then making sure we have it all financially sustainable,' McCafferty told BBC 5 live.
