The Stormers are reportedly working hard behind the scenes to bring Lions playmaker Sanele Nohamba to Cape Town when Paul de Wet joins the Bulls in 2025.
According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, scrumhalf De Wet is “99% on his way to Pretoria”, with a Bulls contract expected to begin in July next year.
The 25-year-old Nohamba is understood to have been on Stormers director of rugby John Dobson’s radar for some time. If signed, he would bolster the Capetonians’ options at No 9 alongside Stefan Ungerer, Imad Khan and Herschel Jantjies.

Meanwhile, Thomas Bursey returns to the Stormers from Griquas, and veteran Dewaldt Duvenage could continue to feature in the URC as he transitions into a coaching role.
It is believed that De Wet’s impending departure follows negotiations with French clubs, though it seems he’s decided on the Bulls.
Additionally, prop Carlü Sadie, currently playing for Bordeaux Bègles, is also reportedly a Bulls target, despite his agent denying the move.
