Wait goes on for Dyantyi

Aphiwe Dyantyi’s hearing into a doping offence has been adjourned after three days of proceedings.

The Springbok wing’s long-awaited hearing started on Tuesday, just over a year after news first broke that Dyantyi’s mandatory B sample had come back testing positive for three banned substances following a national training camp.

The initial hearing date was postponed due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, and although proceedings were finally able to get under way this week, the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sports (Saids) confirmed on Thursday that the matter had now been adjourned.

It remains to be seen when a new date will be set to conclude proceedings.
