Pierre Schoeman starts at loosehead prop in one of five changes to Edinburgh’s starting XV for Friday’s Vodacom URC match against the Sharks.
Schoeman and fellow Scotland front-rower D’arcy Rae replace Boan Venter (who drops to the bench) and Javan Sebastian (concussion), with Ben Muncaster coming in for the rested Hamish Watson at openside flank.
In the backline, Scotland scrumhalf Ali Price and winger Harry Paterson replace the injured Ben Vellacott and rested Darcy Graham respectively.
