Fickou boost for France

France centre Gael Fickou Gael Fickou
Standard published on November 15, 2018

Gaël Fickou will slot in at outside centre in one of two changes to France’s starting lineup to face Argentina in Lille on Saturday.

Fickou was on the bench for the loss to the Springboks last weekend, but has taken the place of Geoffrey Doumayrou in the midfield for this weekend’s clash.

As a result, Mathieu Bastareaud shifts from outside to inside centre, while Benjamin Fall takes Fickou’s place on the bench.

Damian Penaud has been ruled out of the Test with an injury and is replaced by the experienced Yoann Huget.

France – 15 Maxime Medard, 14 Teddy Thomas, 13 Gaël Fickou, 12 Mathieu Bastareaud, 11 Yoann Huget, 10 Camille Lopez, 9 Baptiste Serin, 8 Louis Picamoles, 7 Arthur Iturria, 6 Wenceslas Lauret, 5 Yoann Maestri, 4 Sebastien Vahaamahina, 3 Cedate Gomes Sa, 2 Guilhem Guirado, 1 Jefferson Poirot.
Subs: 16 Camille Chat, 17 Dany Priso, 18 Rabah Slimani, 19 Paul Gabrillagues, 20 Mathieu Babillot, 21 Antoine Dupont, 22 Anthony Belleau, 23 Benjamin Fall.
