Toulouse prop Dorian Aldegheri has been suspended following his dangerous tackle in last weekend’s Investec Champions Cup quarter-final defeat to Bordeaux Bègles.
The 32-year-old was shown a 20-minute red card after a late, clumsy challenge on Bordeaux centre Damian Penaud during Sunday’s clash.
Tournament organisers confirmed a three-week ban on Wednesday, ruling Aldegheri out of at least two upcoming Top 14 fixtures.
“Aldegheri is free to play on Mondaym 11 May,” EPCR said. “However, if he applies for and successfully completes the World Rugby Coaching intervention programme, he will be free to play on Mondaym 27 April,” the body added.
