Gates to lead injury-hit Kings

Shane Gates will captain the Kings against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

Regular skipper Steven Sykes has been ruled out with a shoulder injury and is replaced by Schalk Oelofse in the second row.

In total, Kings coach Deon Davids has had to make four changes to his starting lineup due to injuries, with JP Jonck replacing Chris Cloete at flank, Aidon Davis coming in for CJ Velleman at No 8, and JP du Plessis replacing Stefan Watermeyer at outside centre.
