Injuries have forced Griquas coach Hawies Fourie to select players out of position for their match against the Blue Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday.
Locks Hilton Lobberts and Boela Serfontein, prop Steph Roberts, flank Carel Greeff and captain Wayne Stevens have all been ruled out with injuries.
Fourie has therefore had to pick regular hooker Simon Westraadt at loosehead prop and lock Jonathan Adendorf at openside flank.
In the backline, PJ Vermeulen moves to outside centre, with Jacquin Jansen coming into the starting lineup at fullback.
In the absence of Stevens, flyhalf Francois Brummer will captain the side.
