The Lions were at the wrong end of a refereeing error as they went down 13-9 to Glasgow in Saturday’s early Kickoff.
The Stormers had their chances to grab a victory, but in the end had to settle for a share of the spoils in a 20-all draw against Edinburgh.
The Vodacom Bulls were the last team in action on Saturday and the men from Pretoria bounced back from two heavy defeats to claim a much-needed 29-19 victory against Cardiff.
The Bulls had some added support in the crowd as the Sharks went to cheer on their countrymen.
On Sunday it was reported that South Africa’s four Vodacom United Rugby Championship teams have been informed they won’t be able to host matches in the Republic despite the country being removed from the UK’s travel red list.
The Springboks suffered an Injury blow: Boks handed massive front-row blow.
And Rassie Erasmus and SA Rugby requested their independent misconduct hearing be made public to ensure transparency in the disciplinary process.
But the weekend signed off with some bad news as RG Snyman’s horror season seems to have been extended as the Bok lock suffered what appears to be another serious injury.
