Ireland defeated Scotland in a Six Nations humdinger at Murrayfield on Sunday and are now one win away from clinching a Grand Slam title.
Four points clear of defending champions France at the top of the table, Ireland need only draw with England in Dublin next week to win the championship.
Ireland had a narrow lead at half time but showed their class in the second 40, scoring two quickfire tries to cruise to a 22-7 victory.
Johnny Sexton ended the match having tied Ireland legend Ronan O’Gara’s tally of 557 Six Nations points, and he opened the scoring with a penalty straight in front after a sustained period of pressure.
Scotland came back with the first try of the contest through centre Huw Jones whose scoring streak continues.

The visitors replied moments later when wing Mack Hansen went over in the corner with a neat finish as they entered half time with an 8-7 lead.

The contest featured quality defence, with thumping hits and quick line speed the story of the day, but Ireland winger James Lowe eventually broke the stalemate in the 59th minute as his try in the corner opened up an eight-point lead going into the final quarter.
Minutes later replacement flanker Jack Conan showed his strength, fending off Duhan Van Der Merwe to dot down as the visitors opened up a commanding lead.

Scotland attempted to come back into the game, throwing the ball around but were unable to break Ireland’s defence again.
Ireland will now turn their attention to England, while Scotland will complete their campaign against Italy at home.
