Jantjies picked as SA Super Rugby Player of the Decade

According to Sanzaar’s Opta stats, Lions flyhalf Elton Jantjies has been identified as South Africa’s Vodacom Super Rugby Player of the Decade based on statistical facts and figures.

Jantjies, who has been a stalwart of Lions rugby, was picked in the Sanzaar post on the basis of various leading stats.

According to Opta’s stats, he has scored the second-most points (1,145) of any player in the last 10 years, also made the third-most try assists (59) of any player while gaining the most metres (2,902) and making the most clean breaks (50) of any South African No 10s.

The 29-year-old is also picked in Sanzaar’s Team of the Decade, which features six Lions players.
