Footage has emerged showing how Springbok centre Jesse Kriel sustained a serious head wound that left him in need of multiple stitches.

In the video, Kriel collides with opposition flyhalf Sam Greene, who goes too high in the tackle and comes off second best. Kriel, playing for his side, Canon Eagles, had the last laugh, though, as his team beat Yamaha Jubilo 32-40 in Japan’s Top League.
