Quins see off Tigers in style

Tim Swiel's 80th-minute try helped Harlequins to a bonus-point victory over the Leicester Tigers in the English Premiership.

Swiel, who joined the fray in the 69th minute, converted his try to hand Harlequins a 32-12 victory as they revived their play-off hopes with their second successive victory. The Sharks flyhalf is nearing the end of his four-month loan move with the English club, where he has proved a success.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Francois Louw opened the scoring for Bath while former rugby league star Sam Burgess was among the scorers as Bath comfortably brushed Wasps at the Rec, while Danny Cipriani continued his recent good form in Sale's 20-7 victory over the table-topping Northampton Saints.

Gloucester edged Saracens 24-23 in Friday's only match, but it came at a cost, with England internationals Nick Wood and Ben Morgan suffering injuries.

On Sunday, the Newcastle Falcons beat London Welsh 38-7 at Kingston Park, while Shane Geraghty's drop goal – with time up at the Madejski – clinched a 28-26 win for London Irish over Exeter.
