Luke McGrath scored two tries as Leinster beat Ulster 25-10 in Belfast, while there were also Pro14 wins for the Scarlets, Edinburgh, Ospreys, Connacht, Glasgow Warriors and Cheetahs.
The all-Irish affair was a closely fought derby, until two tries in the second half from replacement scrumhalf McGrath put Leinster in the clear to clinch a crucial away win.
The result sees Leinster overtake Ulster in second position in the Conference A standings.
Ulster led 10-7, but Ross Byrne kicked two penalties late in the first half as Leinster went into the break 13-10 up.
The action fizzled out in the second half, until the introduction of McGrath. Reduced to 14 men after Dave Kearney was yellow-carded for a deliberate knock-down, Leinster still managed to keep Ulster scoreless, and then scored themselves when McGrath crossed for his first try of the game. In the 78th minute the scrumhalf completed his double to seal the win.
In other results, the Scarlets claimed a 30-17 bonus-point win against the Cardiff Blues, sevens specialist Dougie Fife scored a brace to guide Edinburgh to a 24-13 victory over hosts Treviso, flyhalf Dan Biggar played a starring role with 13 points as the Ospreys toppled the Dragons 28-14, and Connacht overturned a half-time deficit to down the 14-man Munster 20-16 at the Sportsground.
