Milnerton pupils to appear in court

Eight Milnerton High School pupils, including 1st XV rugby players, are expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

They have been charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The case stems from a violent incident in which a 16-year-old Grade 10 pupil, who recently survived cancer, was attacked.

A video of the assault, which has since gone viral, shows several boys beating the victim with a hosepipe, belt, hockey stick and wooden stick as he pleads for them to stop.
