Ben O’Keeffe’s performance with the whistle was excellent during the Boks’ thumping of the Wallabies on Saturday, according to SARugbymag.co.za readers.
The Kiwi referee, who recently spoke out after receiving a torrent of abuse for his performance in the Super Rugby Pacific final, has received plaudits from readers for his control of South Africa’s season opener at Loftus.
In arguably his best showing where the Boks are concerned, almost 80% of readers were happy with O’Keeffe’s performance, with 40% of readers rating his outing as excellent and 38% as good.
A further 14% of the vote deemed his work satisfactory, while 6% of voters were unhappy with his officiating and 2% believed it was poor.
