Having defended their Rugby Championship title, the Springboks will embark on a challenging five-match European tour next month.
Rassie Erasmus on Monday named a 36-man squad for the trip, with former Junior Boks captain Zachary Porthen earning his first call-up. Veteran Boks Bongi Mbonambi, Vincent Koch, Faf de Klerk and Willie le Roux were not included.
The Springboks will face Japan (Wembley, London), France (Paris), Italy (Turin), Ireland (Dublin) and Wales (Cardiff) on consecutive Saturdays between 1 and 29 November.
