Proudfoot set for Bok coaching role

Matt Proudfoot looks in line to officially join Allister Coetzee's coaching team at the Springboks.

According to Netwerk24, SA Rugby has successfully managed to extricate Proudfoot from his contract with Japanese club, the Kobe Steelers, where he worked alongside Coetzee last season.

Proudfoot was also the forwards coach when Coetzee was at the helm of the Stormers, and while this is the role he's expected to fulfil at the Boks, it remains to be seen where Johann van Graan's focus will then lie.

Meanwhile, defence guru Jacques Nienaber, who has been part of SA Rugby's coaching mobi-unit, is expected to join outgoing high performance manager Rassie Erasmus at Munster in July.
