Rassie Erasmus has refused to comment whether he feels Siya Kolisi’s punishment for an apparent head-butt at Murrayfield is fair.
The incident involving Scotland centre Peter Horne occurred when the two players were lying on the ground at a ruck in the 30th minute of Saturday’s Test.
On Monday afternoon World Rugby said Kolisi had only received a citing commissioner warning, as the incident had not reached the red-card threshold for foul play.
When asked for his opinion at the Bok press conference, Erasmus said: ‘Like with all other incidents in rugby, it’s irrelevant what my view is. I’m glad the guy involved [Horne] is unscathed and that Siya is available [for Saturday’s match against Wales in Cardiff].
‘I can’t comment on it as I may say the wrong things and get in trouble. I’d like to keep my focus on Saturday’s Test. You may not agree with it, but as long as there is an open communication system and everyone knows why and how a decision is made, then you can accept it and live with it.’
