Rassie Erasmus says the Springboks understand exactly what Bafana Bafana are experiencing as they kick off their Fifa World Cup campaign.
Coach Hugo Broos’ South Africa and co-hosts Mexico meet in the tournament opener on Thursday (9pm SA time).
“We’re all excited,” Erasmus said. “We’ve built a relationship with Hugo Broos and we know the pressure they’re under because we’ve experienced similar things ourselves.”
Erasmus said he’d sent Broos a message that may not have got across.
“I tried to say, ‘You go, Hugo!’ but it didn’t come out the right way. I think he heard ‘Hugo Hugo’.
