Roberts to captain weakened Wales

Veteran centre Jamie Roberts will captain Wales in their June Tests against Tonga and Samoa.

With 12 Welshmen set to tour with the Lions, the 32-man Wales squad features 13 uncapped players.

Eight are in the forwards: Adam Beard, Seb Davies, Ryan Elias, Ollie Griffiths, Wyn Jones, Rory Thornton and Thomas Young. The new caps in the backs are Aled Davies, Steff Evans, Keelan Giles, Owen Williams, Rhun Williams and Tomos Williams.

Wales take on Tonga on Friday, 16 June at Eden Park as part of a double-header, followed by New Zealand against Samoa. They then face Samoa in Apia on Friday, June 23.
