SA Rugby magazine has been listed among South Africa's top 10-performing magazines over the past year.
SA Rugby has increased its circulation by more than 20% during this period, which sees it occupy 10th spot on the list compiled by The Media magazine.
'Highbury has half the titles on this year's list, a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our sales and editorial professionals, and the entire team at Highbury that work together to produce excellent and compelling content every day,' says Highbury Media CEO Kevin Ferguson.
'There is no doubt that this is a challenging time in the magazine business. It's up to independent, forward thinking companies like ours to create business models that work, and to embrace change by taking risks, adapting, and growing, despite the odds.'
The Media magazine, a media industry publication, compiles the list each year, based on the previous years' information which includes an analysis of readership data (AMPS), circulation (ABC) and advertising revenue (Nielsen).
In its announcement of the winning titles, The Media magazine noted that publications on the list like Highbury's that saw growth, had quality of content and an understanding of their markets as distinguishing factors of success.
