Bok giant RG Snyman locked down for Leinster against compatriot JP du Preez in the 52-0 demolition of Glasgow Warriors on Friday night.
Rohan Janse van Rensburg helped Bordeaux survive two yellow cards and a red in a 47-29 win over a Munster side that included Jean Kleyn and Thaakir Abrahams.

Juarno Augustus and Burger Odendaal made sure England’s interest in the Champions Cup is still alive thanks to a 51-16 drubbing of Castres.
Challenge Cup
Bath had three Saffas come off the bench for them in the 61-26 demolition of West Country rivals Gloucester. Thomas du Toit and Francois van Wyk formed a new look front row in the second half and reserve loosie Jaco Coetzee scored shortly after making his entrance.
Loosehead Boan Venter was relieved by Pierre Schoeman in an Edinburgh side that ended South African hopes in the Challenge Cup with a narrow 34-28 over the Bulls.
The Ospreys’ trio of Saffas Tom Botha, Evardi Boshoff and Dan Kasende were knocked out by Lyon in a 20-18 defeat in Swansea.
Japan League One
Malcolm Marx got the better of Cheslin Kolbe in Kubota Spears’ 30-10 victory over Suntory Sungoliath. Marx scored for the third game in a row and was joined in the Spears matchday squad by locks Ruan Botha and David Bulbring, utility forward Tyler Paul and centre Rikus Pretorius.
Jesse Kriel scored his seventh try of the season in a losing cause for Yokohama Canon Eagles as they went down 38-28 to Mitsubishi Dynaboars. Khutha Mchunu, Friedle Olivier and Walt Steenkamp played for Dynaboars, while Jeandre Labuschagne made his debut for Canon Eagles.
Sanele Nohamba made a second-half cameo for Shizuoka Blue Revs in their 56-26 thumping of Toshiba Brave Lupus, while Adre Smith scored a consolation try for Toyota Verblitz in their 37-7 loss away to Tokyo Black Rams.
Lood de Jager and Damian de Allende helped Saitama Wild Knights to a convincing 53-33 win over Franco Mostert’s Honda Heat to remain top of the table. Matthys Basson and Dawid Kellerman were in the Heat starting side, while Janko Swanepoel came off the bench.
Willie Potgieter was a second-half replacement for Kobelco Kobe Steelers in their 33-20 win over a Urayasu D-Rocks side that featured lock Lourens Erasmus.
