Speight injury blow for Brumbies

Brumbies winger Henry Speight has been ruled out of action for up to two months after fracturing his eye socket.

The Wallabies and Australian Sevens star suffered the injury, which may require surgery, when he clashed heads with teammate Christian Leali'ifano during last weekend's loss to the Stormers.

'It's a shame to lose Henry, he's obviously a world-class winger,' coach Stephen Larkham commented. 'At this stage it looks like he may be out for eight weeks, which would be around the same time we take on the Rebels in round 12, but we will have to wait for further advice.'

The Brumbies will face the Cheetahs this Saturday, with Lausii Taliauli now set to join the squad in South Africa.
